Virat Kohli’s scored his 28th century after 41 consecutive test innings without century. Kohli’s previous longest run without a Test century was 13 innings - before his maiden hundred in 2012. Kohli’s last Test century, his 27th hundred, came against Bangladesh in November 2019 in Kolkata, where he scored 136 in the day-night match. Kohli scored 1028 runs at an average of 25.70 with six fifties in the 41 innings before making his century in Ahmedabad.
