Tamil Nadu batter N Jagadeesan hits a record breaking double ton in List A cricket

Tamil Nadu batter Narayan Jagadeesan hits a record-breaking knock of double ton today against Arunachal Pradesh. He has scored 277 runs in 141 balls which is the highest individual score in List A Men’s cricket.

Jagadeesan became the first player to score hundreds in five consecutive innings in men’s List A cricket. Previously, three batters had four centuries in a row - Kumar Sangakkara in 2014-15, Alviro Petersen in 2015-16 and Devdutt Padikkal in 2020-21.

Jagadeesan along with Sai Sudharsan put on a partnership of 416 runs which is the highest partnership for any wickets in Men’s List A cricket. The previous highest partnership was 372 between Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels for the second wicket against Zimbabwe in 2015.

In the match, Tamil Nadu scored a total of 506/2 which is the highest team total in Men’s List A cricket.
