Steve Smith has penned a short-term deal with Sussex for the upcoming season of the County Championship that will enable him to prepare for the Ashes this year in England.
Smith’s acquisition has come as a massive coup for Sussex, who recently announced a deal for Shadab Khan to play for them in the T20 Blast. The 33-year-old will now be playing alongside Indian veteran Cheteshwar Pujara, who had already committed to returning to Sussex this year.
