Sanju Samson is doubtful for the second T20I against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to be held in Pune on 5th January 2023. Sanju Samson reportedly had a niggle on his knee and had not travelled with the team and he has been asked to take a scan for further details. The injury is a result of a diving catch he attempted in the first over of the Sri Lankan chase at the Wankhede in Mumbai on Wednesday. Although he caught the ball, he could not hold on to it after falling to the ground. He went on to field in the match but, it is learnt, experienced swelling later because of which he was asked to take medical advice.
