Pat Cummins ruled out of Adelaide Test

Pat Cummins has been ruled out of Adelaide Test against West Indies following a quad injury during the first test at Perth. Scott Boland will be the replacement for Pat Cummins in the Adelaide test and will be joining the pace attack alongside Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Cameron Green.

“Team medical staff commenced Cummins’ recovery in Adelaide but selectors deemed there was not sufficient time for the fast bowler to be fully fit for the match, which starts tomorrow,” a statement said. “Cummins is expected to return for the opening Test match against South Africa in Brisbane.”

Steve Smith is expected to captain the side in the absence of Pat Cummins.
