Match Summary of the 1st T20I :point_down:t3:

I think Pakistan give rest for Rizwan and try any other opening pair considering his workload ahead of WC.

We have some early news out of the Pakistan camp - that is an unnamed member of the support staff has tested positive for Covid-19 and hasn’t travelled to the ground however as reported by ESPNCricinfo this will not impact the game and the game is expected to play as scheduled!

England won the toss once again and chose to Bat first. Though the venue is the same as the 1st T20I they are playing on a different pitch today.

Experts out there has predicted 150 or above will be a good score in the surface.

A decent display of batting by England batters after those 2 back to back wickets by Shanawaz Dahani.

England are brilliant so far after those two quick wickets. I guess they’ll score somewhere around 175

Much needed break through for Pakistan. Haris Rauf has done what Pakistan was exactly needed.

Technically England has 4 first choice openers from Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales to Phil Salt. It’s going to be a big headache for them to pick the right openers for the big games.

Quick stats: In T20Is, the last time an England number three batter suffered a first ball duck was in 2014. It was Moeen Ali against Sri Lanka.

Another quick stats: This is the first time England have fielded four left-arm bowlers.

Luke Wood, Sam Curran & David Willey are left-arm pacers and Liam Dawson is that 4th left arm bowler who’s a spinner.

England completed their innings with 199/5 in 20 overs.

Moeen Ali finished things with a flurry, two biggies to take England to 199 and he completed his fifty off just 23 balls. Just a reminder, the English skipper was dropped on 32 by Khushdil Shah.

Do you think 200 is achievable target in this pitch in 20 overs?

It was a poor show from the Pakistani bowlers and I don’t think they can achieve this target in this pitch unless England make some serious howler with their bowling and fielding.

The biggest concern for Pakistan was the SR of their openers. This time the openers have proved that they can keep up the temp rising.
