Knight riders group is owned by Sharukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and her husband Jay Mehta. They bought the Kolkata franchise in 2008 in the famous league named Indian Premier league in India. Also, they had bought stakes in Trinidad and Tobago team in the Caribbean Premier League and stakes in the USA T20 league named Major League Cricket. Now they have bought the Abu Dhabi franchise in UAE T20 League named Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. Already 5 franchises in the UAE league have been bought by Adani Group, Reliance Group, GMR Group, Capri Global, and Lancer Capital.
