Kent has won the Royal London Cup 2022

Kent has won the Royal London Cup 2022 by beating Lancashire in the finals by 21 runs. Kent has won the toss and chose to bat first in the venue which has a history of chasing. Kent has scored 306/6 in 50 overs. Joey Evison scored 91, Joe Denly scored 78 and Oliver Robinson scored 43 for Kent and go past the 300 mark. For Lancashire Tom Bailey and Liam Hurt have picked 2 wickets each.

While chasing 307, Lancashire fell short of 21 runs and scored 285 and lost all the 10 wickets in 48.4 overs. Keaton Jennings and Steven Croft scored 72 runs while others lost their wickets for a smaller margin of runs. For Kent Nathan Gilchrist and Grant Stewart had picked 3 wickets each, and Joey Evison picked 2 wickets.

Joey Evison has been awarded Player of the match for his all-round performance in scoring 91 runs and picking up 2 wickets in bowling and 1 catch in fielding.
