Kane Williamson, who lead and guided his team to the finals of the inaugural edition of World Test Championship had stepped down from the captain of Test side ahead of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan which is going to begin from December 26. The tour consists of 2 Tests and 3 ODIs. However, Kane Williamson expressed his interest to continue playing in all 3 formats of the game, he gave up captaincy from Tests and will be continuing his captaincy in ODIs and T20Is.
Tim Southee is set to lead in the test series in the tour of Pakistan.
