India Women's U19 team reaches finals of the inaugural U-19 Women's T20 World Cup edition

India Women’s U19 won the toss and chose to bowl first. Though New Zealand lost early 2 wickets Plimmer and Isabella Gaze tried to reconstruct the innings and they came up really well until Gaze lost her wicket. After Gaze lost her wicket New Zealand struggled to tackle Indian bowlers. Parshavi Chopra picked up 3 wickets and Titas Sadhu, Shafali Verma, Archana Sharma and Mannat Kashyap picked 1 wicket each which helped India to restrict New Zealand to just 107/9 in 20 overs.

In reply, the brilliant batting effort from the opener Shweta Sehrawat who scored an unbeaten 61 off 45 balls made India chase the target of 107 with 34 balls to spare. India lost 2 wickets in their batting both the wickets were taken by Anna Browning. India Women’s U19 team qualified for the finals in the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup.
