Kandy Falcons started off well with the ball and picked 4 wickets in a short span. That’s when Thanuka Dabare and Nuwanidu Fernando 56(50) guided Galle Gladiators to a respectable position with a tremendous partnership of 113 (87). Imad Wasim’s cameo innings 15(5) along with Thanuka Dabare’s 70(51) helped them to reach 153/6. Carlos Brathwaite picked up 3 wickets and gave just 17 runs in his 4-over spell.
In reply, Kandy Falcons fell short of 12 runs and scored 141/7. As the wickets were falling at regular intervals they couldn’t take the control of the situation though Ashen Bandara and Chamika Karunaratne tried hard but couldn’t guide their team to win. Thanuka Dabare was awarded Player of the match for his knock of 70(51).
