It seems Asia Cup 2022 is not kind to fast bowlers. After Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sri Lanka pacer Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out of the Asia Cup due to his injury.
Sri Lanka’s lead pacer, who can crank it up to 150kmph will now watch his team from side-lines play the continental Cup as he became the latest casualty. Lankan team fielding coach Anton Roux posted a heartfelt note for Chameera wishing him a speedy recovery. He also said the Lankan pacer will mostly be fit enough for the T20 World Cup 2022.
