David Willey is set to retire from all international cricket at the end of the ongoing 2023 World Cup in India

David Willey is set to retire from all international cricket at the end of the ongoing 2023 World Cup in India. Willey however, noted that he will continue to ply his trade in the shorter formats (T20 and the Hundred) for franchises and domestic sides. Willey was named Northamptonshire captain in the T20 Blast last year and also played for Welsh Fire in the Hundred. He is due to play for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the second edition of the ILT20, in January. At the IPL, Willey is currently contracted by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
