Charlotte Edwards has been appointed as the head coach of the England Women's team

Former England captain Charlotte Edwards has been appointed as the head coach of the England Women’s team. The 45-year-old Edwards takes over from Jon Lewis, who resigned following England’s 16-0 whitewash against Australia in the recent Ashes series. Edwards joins the ECB from Hampshire. Her first game as England Women’s Head Coach will be 21 May, against the West Indies at Canterbury.
