Bangladesh team suffered a huge injury blow ahead of ODI series against India

Bangladesh suffered a huge blow ahead of the three-match ODI series against India after skipper Tamim Iqbal was ruled out of the series. The senior batsman is also doubtful for the first Test.

Tamim picked up a groin injury in the warm-up game and has now been advised two weeks of rest. While the ODI series finishes on December 10, the first Test begins on December 14 and as a result, Tamim faces a race against time to make it to that game. Taskin Ahmed was ruled out of the first game of the series. Shoriful Islam has been called as a replacement backup for Taskin Ahmed in the ODI series.
