Babar Azam resigned as captain of the Pakistan cricket team. The 29-year-old was removed as Pakistan’s white-ball captain after the team’s underwhelming campaign at the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, after just three months, Babar found himself reappointed for the job in March 2024. During the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan lost to the USA and India to get eliminated from the tournament in the 1st stage of the league.
