Australia vs West Indies - Test Match Preview

Australia and West Indies played last test match in 2016. It has been close to seven years since they played last match. The last time West Indies won a test match against Australia was back in 2003 in St John’s, Antigua. West Indies won an historic match by chasing down 418 against the mighty Australians with Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan hitting centuries in the second innings.

The last test match when West Indies won a test match against Australia in Australia was in 1997 at Perth. With Brian Lara and Robert Samuels helped West Indies in the first innings Curtley Ambrose and Curtley Walsh shined in bowling. West Indies won the game by 10 wickets which is considered one of the greatest win.

After 2003 victory for West Indies, the results were very much one sided. The last time when West Indies won a Test series against Australia was in 1992/93. West Indies won the series by 2-1 in a 5 match series. Other two matches were drawn. In the 4th test of the series West Indies won the match by just 1 runs. It is a very rare circumstances considering test matches.
