Earlier in the innings, after being inserted to bat England were on the attack from the word go. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales took the game away from them with an opening-stand of 132 runs. England lost their plot a bit in the death over but Chris Woakes’ knock proved to be enough to get them over the 200-run mark. It was Nathan Ellis who stood out with the ball for the hosts. Later, it proved to be a bit too much for Australia.
