Senior players Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell will be back for the three ODIs against India after missing the series in South Africa due to injuries. Travis Head, who fractured his left hand during the fourth ODI against South Africa and who now will return home and will not be part of the Australian squad for the ODI series and his availability for the CWC 2023 is doubtful.
