Hashmatullah Shahidi is set to captain the side in the tournament, Karim Janat returns to ODI squad after 6 years. Fareed Ahmed Malik and Shahidullah Kamal were also dropped from the Asia Cup squad who were part of Afghanistan squad in the Pakistan ODI series held in Sri Lanka.
