Aaron Finch has announced his retirement from T20I

Australian cricketer Aaron Finch has announced his retirement from international T20 cricket. Finch, who has been a regular member of the Australian T20 side for several years, will now focus on his limited-overs and Test cricket career. He is considered one of the most successful T20 batsmen in the world and will be remembered for his explosive batting style and memorable performances for Australia.

Finch steps away from T20I cricket after 103 caps for Australia, leading the country in 76 of those matches. He retires as Australia’s leading run-getter in the format, having scored 3120 runs at an average of 34.28 and a strike rate of 142.5. His career-best 172, against Zimbabwe in 2018, is also the best individual score in the format, a record he previously claimed with his 156 against England in 2013.
